KUMALO Originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, Bakithi Kumalo is a
Grammy Award-winning bassist widely recognized for his legendary
performances on Paul Simon’s landmark Graceland album with whom he
still tours and records. He has also collaborated with Herbie Hancock,
Gloria Estefan, Chaka Khan, Josh Groban, Chris Botti, and many others.
Bakithi calls the U-Bass the "little monster" because of its scary

Beck, Chick Korea, Herbie Hancock, Macy Gray Widely hailed as "the
rising star of the bass guitar," Tal Wilkenfeld first picked up a
guitar at the age of 14, in her native Sydney, Australia. She later
switched to bass and in May 2006 Tal recorded her first solo album,
"Transformation." She was 20, and had been playing bass for only
three years. At just 21, Tal accompanied jazz giant Chick Corea on
his tour of Australia. One month later, Jeff Beck asked her to join
him on a European Summer Tour. The Beck tour culminated at Eric
Clapton's Crossroads Festival. Perhaps Tal's remarkable musical gift
is best summed up by Jeff Beck, who enthused, "What can I say about
Tal Wilkenfeld? How does one describe an astonishing talent?”

playing career in 1969 and has performed and recorded
